Grundy County Circuit Court heard seven motions on Friday for Morris youth Michael Witherington charged with armed robbery and burglary in the Morris Pizza Hut case. Judge C Howard Wampler refused defense attorney Mason’s bid to withdraw and denied venue change, suppression of prior convictions, and severance requests while ordering transcript delivery and psychiatric report access. Jury selection for the armed robbery trial is set to begin Tuesday as delays and motions continue.
