At Dresden Lock and Dam Monday high 34 low 23 and 7 am 27 with no precipitation. In Morris downtown 10 am temperature reached 35 degrees.
Three Minooka Grade School Board members seek re election running unopposed for the three seats Elizabeth Figge Dan Roberts and Bruce Robinson. Polls open noon 7 pm April 14 at Minooka Junior High on Church St. Absentee ballot deadlines are April 9 by mail and April 13 in person at the elementary building 8 30 am to 4 pm.
Senior citizens are invited to attend the dress rehearsal of Sound of Music at Morris Community High School at 7 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium.

Morris City Council approved a three day suspension of Clayton Darlington's liquor license for Clayton's Tap at 122 West Washington Street after a 3:12 a.m. incident February 5 involving a guest drinking at the tavern. The vote was 5-0 with one alderman abstaining and another absent. The measure, recommended by the mayor and license committee, cited disturbances but found no broader grounds for suspension.
One of five candidates for Grundy County Supervisor of Assessment passed the state test on Friday. Georgianne Marie McNelis of Kendall County earned a passing grade and is eligible for appointment. The law requires being in the top three to be appointed.

CHICAGO AP Commonwealth Edison says a leak of two gallons per hour from the Zion nuclear plant spent fuel pool poses no environmental danger. Pollution group cites NRC inaction and questions safety while the pool holds 316 fuel assemblies and plans to rise to 2,112.
