Fire destroys 1973 Ford Thunderbird in Grundy County

A car fire on Morris Blacktop Rd in Grundy County consumed a 1973 Ford Thunderbird owned by George Lamb of Seneca. Responders from the Seneca Police and Fire Departments and Sgt. Ron Fox and Deputy Curt Leach found the vehicle fully involved. Investigators suspect an electrical fault as the cause.

Police miss four suspects in Texaco burglary

Police narrowly missed catching four men suspected of breaking into Wilbur Clark's Texaco station on Division Street and stealing 270 dollars at 5 54 a m. A neighbor reported glass breaking and saw one man enter while three waited outside. Officers pursued toward an alley north of the station.
