Fire damages Oswego home as children escape
A living room fire in the Douglas Clark residence at Illinois 25 and North Adams Street in Oswego caused about 4000 dollars in damage. Fire Chief Jim Detzler reported the blaze was confined to the living room and no injuries occurred to the Clark children aged 1, 2, 6 and 7 who were home with their mother away shopping. The 6-year-old quickly went to a neighbor for help as firefighters arrived around 1:20 a.m. Officials suspected children playing with matches may have sparked the fire.
