City movers seek rural life in upper Midwest
A University of Wisconsin study finds many urban residents relocate to northern Wisconsin Minnesota and Michigan retreating from city life. Of 671 interviewed 42 percent moved to rural areas for freedom or to try rural living and 20 percent for work while 22 percent retired. Most migrants are aged 24 to 30 or at retirement, and over 80 came from Milwaukee Chicago or Minneapolis.

Jail inmate medical care expands to eight states and DC
The AMA announced an expansion of its jail medical care program to Illinois Massachusetts Nevada Ohio North Carolina Pennsylvania South Carolina and Texas through Law Enforcement Assistance Administration funding.
