Thirteen Overcome by Chlorine Gas at Lemont Plant

Westclox workers ratify three year contract ending Peru strike
United Steel Workers members at Westclox Peru vote 746 to 170 to end a June strike involving about 500 workers. The deal raises wages 6.25 percent first year and 5.25 percent in years two and three, with two weeks vacation pay due within five days of return.
