Six people injured in Grundy County weekend accidents
Grundy County Sheriff investigators report six people injured in weekend crashes. Ivan Dzambazovic 55 and wife Danica 54 were taken to Morris Hospital after a one car Interstate 55 crash near Gardner Road. Danica treated for head injuries and released. Other incidents include a Pine Bluff Road single car rollover injuring two teens and a two car Gardner collision injuring Mrs. Raelene Testa. Additional damage occurred on Illinois 47 and Grand Ridge Road with three vehicle crash. One parked car was damaged at Uncle John’s Inn.

Motorcycle Crash In Stratton Park Injures Two
Two people injured Sunday night in a motorcycle accident at Stratton Park were listed in fair condition at Morris Hospital for observation. David L. Bennett, 19, and Linda J. Bennett, 17, of 36 Main St Shady Oaks near Minooka, were taken by Morris Ambulance. Bennett said he drove east through the parking lot and struck a raised island he could not see. Police reported David had a cut on his left knee and Linda sustained head and left leg injuries.

Morris youths escape detention again in Ottawa burglary case
Charles Douglas Yoder 16 and a 15-year-old Morris boy fled the LaSalle County Juvenile Detention Center for a second time Saturday and were recaptured Sunday. Ottawa police linked the suspects to a burglary and purse theft in Ottawa on Saturday night and a stolen car pickup. Yoder faces charges for a July 2 bank burglary and awaits a judge to set bond. both teens were being held in Ottawa jail before their court appearances.

Illinois 47 repair plan announced for Ottawa area
Robert Blasius district three engineer for the Illinois Division of Highways said Illinois 47 between Waverly Street and the Rock Island Railroad tracks will be resurfaced.
