Chicago man Bobby Givens aged 33 was sentenced in Kendall County court to three to four years in Stateville for the March 4 burglary of the Holland Drug Store at Indian Springs Shopping Center near Plano. Accomplice William Mikeska received a similar term earlier and Lewis Gardner faces a September jury trial.

Aux Sable Supervisor Leon ard Boss reported a break in at his new home under construction 7.5 miles east of Morrison USS. The screen door was broken to gain entry and tools, a shop vacuum, electrical outlets and fixtures were stolen. The theft occurred between 9 p.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Tuesday.
State Plans to Improve William G Stratton State Park
After a month of study and talks with Morris groups and the Illinois Conservation Department, plans for renovating William G Stratton State Park were released in a letter to the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce. The plan calls for flush toilets, moving old buildings, grading and sealing roads and parking areas, with construction hoped to start after the July 4 holiday. State Rep. James R Washburn has pushed the project, and officials say the park will be updated to benefit Morris and the surrounding community.

Autos Damaged In 3 Car Crash On Division St
City Policeman James Gret encord investigated a three car crash on Division Street at 2 30 p m Tuesday in the 800 block. A 1965 Chevrolet driven by Leroy D Berkland 41 of Route 4 and a 1969 Oldsmobile driven by Verlon L Brock Jones 55 of Peru were stopped waiting for a train when a 1963 Chevrolet driven by Florence Smith 44 city editor of the Morris Daily Herald rear ended the Oldsmobile pushing it into Berkland s vehicle. The Berkland car suffered damage to the rear bumper and trunk. Jones Oldsmobile had front end damage.

Continue Vitek Trailer Case Sees Repeated Delays
Associate Circuit Judge Robert Malmquist granted a continuance for the Muscatine Grundy County case tied to Mazon trailer park licensing.
