Bonanza thief steals about $500 in cash
About $500 in cash was found missing from a bank deposit bag inside the Bonanza Steak House safe at 1571 N Division St. The burglary occurred after 9 30 p m Sunday and total missing was $510 per manager Tom Davis Morris police are investigating noting a prior June theft of more than $5 000 in night deposits by a burglar with possible keys to the building and safe combination.

Kankakee Woman Found After Fire Extinguished
In Kankakee Illinois the body of Mary Walker was found by firemen after they extinguished a fire in her three bedroom frame house. Coroner Wes Wiseman said she was not burned and tests would determine the cause of death. One bedroom was heavily damaged and the body was located in the kitchen.

Burglars Take Over $1 500 In Furnishings
Items valued at more than 1500 dollars were stolen from a rural Morris residence Monday afternoon. Fred Ehrman reported the theft to Grundy County Sheriff’s Department at 6 p.m. Deputy Dan Raymond said the break in happened between noon and 6 p.m. through the back door. Stolen items include a 600 dollar microwave oven a 525 dollar color television a black and white TV a 410 gauge shotgun worth 50 dollars a 38 caliber blue steel handgun valued over 100 dollars and two rings about 150 dollars.
