Grundy County Zoning Board of Appeals approved Eleanor Lemonta's request to add a 12 by 56 foot extension to her mobile home on Aux Sable Road Dresden Acres. The panel noted hardship, required the addition be on a same height foundation under the mobile home, and voted 4-0 despite prior zoning objections. Rezoning requests by Schrock Farms and Grundy Motors were continued to Feb 17.

Plane lands on Interstate 80 near Ottawa during weather
Aurora man Claude Stokes 29 left Joliet Airport at 10 p.m. when airports closed he diverted west toward Ottawa. With fuel low he landed in the westbound lane 20 miles west of the Seneca exit, taxied to the median and then to the airport with police stopping traffic. No injuries or damage reported to his Cessna.
