Republicans Choose Three New Aldermen
Morris voters in Tuesday's city primary elected new Republican alderman candidates in three of the four wards. The four candidates elected were Glen C. Anderson first ward James Stine second Arthur Hornsby Jr. third and Robert Gilbertson fourth. Stine is the only incumbent to win the Republican nomination for alderman in this election. Hornsby Jr. defeated four other candidates to take the nomination in the third ward with 335 unofficial votes. Elmo Ray Younger led GOP precincts with 313. Glenn F. Bright 248. John W. Nelson 151. Chamberlain 278 and David Sklut 185 with write-ins. Buford Willis won the Democratic nomination in the fourth ward with 28 votes and two Republican write-ins.
