Illinois Senate approves implied consent drunken driving bill
The Illinois Senate approved by 38 to 15 a bill requiring motorists to take drunk driving tests or face a six month license suspension. Known as the implied consent bill it states a driver implicitly agrees to tests when obtaining a state driving permit. The measure moves to the House and requires a drunken driving charge before a breath or blood test is administered.

Standard Oil Co. Indiana said it will acquire a 220 acre Naperville site for a multimillion dollar campus type technical center. Herschel H. Radio System to Equip Locks and Vessels in Illinois Waterway
