Commonwealth Edison Co. agreed to limit radioactive gas emissions from Dresden 2 and Dresden 3 near Morris. A waste system costing 2 to 3.6 million dollars will be installed, and emissions capped at 10 000 microcuries per second during normal operation, far below the AEC approved 700 000. Dresden 3 awaits operating permits as Dresden 2 nears completion.

Man Injured In Accident Near Gardner
A Decatur man, Daniel Nellis age 31, was listed in fair condition at Morris Hospital after a 9:40 p.m. crash on Interstate 55 near Gardner Road. He was a passenger in a 1969 Oldsmobile driven by a 27 year old Decatur man, also named D Nellis, who lost control on ice, veered into the median and struck a guardrail. Damages to the car were estimated at $1,000.

Stay arbitration sought in Morris School dispute
