A Morris man was admitted to Morris Hospital after a three car collision on Pine Bluff Road near Illinois 47 at 7:45 a.m. Rugg 25 was passing a bus when his Pontiac struck Noonan's car head on. Schneider then hit the Noonan vehicle. Noonan and Schneider were treated and released. Rugg held for observation with a head laceration.

Leonard Frank 27, a former Joliet policeman, was charged with attempted murder after shooting R. James Titan 27, a former Crest Hill policeman, in a Joliet tavern over accusations of attention to Frank's wife Mary 22.
