Morris High School Board Backs $590,000 Bond Issue
The Morris Community High School board unanimously approved a special election to issue $590,000 in bonds for an addition to the building. Attorney Hynds to draft the resolution. election date and polling places to be set after legal matters are settled. Board members Hunt Nelson Weitz Tratt Graham Reeves and Trucano supported the plan. Bonds to mature in 15 years with interest not exceeding four percent. The addition would raise capacity to 1,000 students.

Pleads Guilty To $100 Theft At Dwight
Dwight Lee R. Young seventeen year old from Livingston Manor New York pled guilty to larceny after a robbery at Andy's Standard Service on Route 47 north of Dwight. He was also charged with robbery and auto theft and is held in Livingston County Jail on $2,500 bond awaiting a probation hearing set for February 24 before Circuit Judge Frank Bevan at Pontiac. The AWOL from Fort Leonard Wood Missouri was arrested January 2 a half hour after the holdup.
