Modular quadrominiums rise at Evergreens development
Inland Homes begins hoisting four pre assembled modular residences at the Evergreen Subdivision four miles east of Morris. The quadrominiums, three 3 bedroom and one 4 bedroom, will be completed in 16 hours with a four hour per home target. Each unit includes power stack appliances and central air. Prices range from 21 200 to 21 700 with utilities installed.

Quake Toll Reaches 44 in Southern California
The 6.0 earthquake killed 44 people nine by heart attack and injured over 1,000 as officials searched wreckage of a Veterans Administration hospital in the San Fernando Valley. Twenty-five bodies were recovered at the hospital with 55 rescued. fears of more deaths linger among interlocked concrete rubble. Authorities evacuated about 80,000 residents as the Van Norman Lake dam faced possible failure, while property damage neared hundreds of millions of dollars and Governor Reagan toured the scene.
