Woman Injured When Car Hit From Behind on I 47
A Morris woman, Ruby McNeilly aged 57, sustained a sore neck after her car was rear ended by a truck driven by Terry Schott 21 of Pontiac. The collision occurred on icy Illinois Route 47 one mile south of Southmor Road as she prepared to turn into her driveway. McNeilly’s 1973 Oldsmobile sustained about 1200 dollars in damage. Schott’s 1972 Freightliner damage not reported. Both vehicles left the scene.

Sirica in Critical Condition After Massive Heart Attack
Washington judge John Sirica 71 remained in critical but stable condition at George Washington University Hospital after a massive heart attack that halted his heart during a luncheon speech. Doctors reported successful electric shock resuscitation, restored breathing, normal blood pressure, and no artificial support. Sirica, famed for the Watergate probes, is a former boxer and longtime Republican appointed by Eisenhower in 1957.
