Northern Illinois schools will not have to make up as many weather days from January storms. The state leaders said districts in disaster areas may receive up to four forgiveness days, counted as instructional days, under an act of God. Plainfield to host disaster aid center for snow removal claims
Grundy County officials must submit completed applications by February 12 at the Federal Disaster Assistance center in Plainfield. The aid center at Plainfield City Hall Illinois 59 opens Monday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Joseph Temple coordinates the county agency and will represent the area. FDAA staff will review snow removal claims on site. Approved funds cover up to two thirds of expenses and should arrive within four weeks. Will County crews meet February 9 at Plainfield and Kendall County on February 13.
