Police find Springer dog after escape near Connor's office
Police tracked a short hair Springer that bit Hank Dyer on his porch. The dog, limping, was located near Bennie's Old Tavern close to Dr. Connors's office after escaping police nets earlier. Dyer faced possible rabies shots if exposure was confirmed.
Minooka High Board approves permanent gym roof project
At a special meeting the Minooka High School Board of Education authorized permanent roofing for the gymnasium subject to the insurance adjuster. The prior roof blew off December 14 and a temporary roof was put up December 15. The board also hired Miss Cynthia J Turner for English and speech activities starting Monday to replace a resigned staff member.
