Services for Friday Victim Are Held Today
Funeral services were held today for Bartho J. Marizza Jr. 16 of Coal City who died in a one car crash near Coal City at 11:40 p.m. Friday. Two other youths injured are Thomas Collier 17 and Harold Onsen 18 both Coal City residents. Darryl Cantu 17 escaped serious injury. Marizza was Grundy County's 29th traffic fatality this year. The accident occurred as Collier lost control on a gravel road. the car struck a concrete culvert injuring all aboard. Authorities noted wet gravel and grass may have contributed. Marizza born Jan 30 1949 in Joliet lived in Coal City. funeral was at Reeves Funeral Home and Assumption Church with burial in Mt Olivet Cemetery Wilmington.
