Woman Hurt In Crash At Coal City
A 38 year old Kankakee woman, Beverly A. Riberdy, was reported in guarded condition at Morris Hospital after a crash at the GMC railroad crossing on Illinois 113 in Coal City. Her eastbound Volkswagen struck the crossing signal, breaking it off, and she was ticketed for driving while intoxicated illegal transportation of liquor reckless driving and driving with a revoked license. The damaged Volkswagen was towed to Link's Standard Station in Coal City.

Fine Father in Truancy Case
Wayne Brasher 32 of Braceville was found guilty of permitting truancy after a day-long trial. He was fined $20 plus costs by Judge Robert W.
