Associate Circuit Judge Robert Wren acquitted Ruth E. Palmer of selling beer to 16 year old David Anderson at Shel-Mar Tavern after defense testimony arguing she was not behind the bar. Anderson pleaded guilty to illegal possession and was fined 100 dollars plus costs. Spangler was acquitted on grounds the state failed to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
