A one story vacant house at 1245 Butler was gutted in a fire of unknown origin at 11 45 p m Monday. Owner identified as Sandra Crumb via tax records. Fire department reported on scene about an hour. Cause under investigation. City Aldermen discussed demolition of three vacant houses and notices were filed for two others on E Main and E Jackson.

City of Morris Aldermen defer action on a proposed tax levy for May 1 1966 to April 30 1967 after Mayor Aage Hansen rules a motion out of order. Council Approves Police Salary Increase and City Pay Risers
