County 4-H Show Ends With Grandstand Show And Awards
The Grundy County Fairgrounds hosts the final day of the 4-H show with a Best of 4-H Grandstand at 6:30 p.m. State fair reps will be named for dress revue, demonstration, public speaking, and flower arranging. Tuesday’s events drew about 400 клуб members and 1,750 plates served at a pork chop barbecue as animal, arts, and engineering judging produced numerous champions including Victoria and Vienna Ag clubs across swine, dairy, poultry, and goat divisions. Further judging results and showman standings will be published Thursday.

Weather outlook with showers and cooler temperatures ahead
Forecast shows showers and thunderstorms likely early tonight, then partly cloudy and cooler with a low in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Thursday turns sunny and cool with a high in the mid to upper 70s. Tuesday high reached 83 at Dresden Island Locks and Dam with a 56 low. Morning readings at 7 a.m. were 61 and at 10:30 a.m. 74 in Morris.

Two Kendall prisoners slash wrists in jail incident
Two inmates in Kendall County Jail slashed their wrists Tuesday night. both treated and returned to custody. Inmate Carson Julian, held on attempted murder and armed violence charges, and Thomas Hanson, jailed on burglary, faced related proceedings. Julian connected to May assault on a 17 year old girl. pretrial Oct 12 in Yorkville.

Jury Unable To Determine Manner Of Inmate Death
Grundy County Coroner jury ruled the manner of Martin Morrow 16 Joliet death undetermined after an inquest. Autopsy and toxicology plus Mayo Clinic input showed death from cardiac arrhythmia due to chronic active myocarditis likely viral. Jurors considered possible ruptured spleen and intra abdominal bleeding noted by attorney Bolden but not tied to a fall.
