Four Injured in Two County Crashes
Two separate crashes on Thursday left four people injured. In the Cemetery Road collision Joseph Misener 28 Mildred Mervar 45 and David Newland 34 were treated at Morris Hospital and released. Mervar was cited for improper lane usage. In a second crash James Fix 49 was admitted for observation after a one car accident on U S 6 east of Susan Circle.

Diamond fire damages house in garage blaze
A Diamond residence fire Thursday afternoon caused an estimated 20 000 dollars in damage. The Coal City Fire Department arrived at 3 46 pm with Fire Chief Don Olive saying the fire started in the attached garage possibly from a car fire. The garage and car were destroyed and the house roof was damaged while Mrs LoFasto was home but unharmed. The family stayed with friends that night.
