Morris woman injured in I-80 wreck near Ridge Road
Pauline Loew 82 of 109 West Jackson suffered injuries in a three car crash on Interstate 80 six miles west of Ridge Road. Stanley Coon 27 of Gary Indiana and George Griego 32 of Racine Wisconsin also collided with a tire on the road. Loew was treated at St Joseph Hospital Joliet after fire department transport. Police reported no tickets issued and damage estimates showed Coon about 750 dollars and Griego under 100 dollars.

Post office raises rates in Morris area
The U S Postal Service increases fees effective Sunday April 18 with new costs for special delivery letters merchandise insured packages and money orders. A special delivery letter is 93 cents a $15 insured package 25 cents and a $200 insured package 80 cents. A $10 money order 30 cents and a $300 money order 50 cents. Charts go to major mailers in Morris and customers should call local offices for details. Morris area phone is 942-0345.
