Driver Hurt In Accident East of Town
A 1962 Thunderbird was crushed in two after leaving the road at 8:30 p.m. Thursday four miles east of Illinois 47 on Interstate 80. Richard Wigner, 21, of George Street, was described as in guarded condition with multiple fractures at Morris Hospital. He was freed by Morris volunteers, then transported by Davis Ambulance. The car was towed and found totally destroyed. Joliet District 9 State Police are reviewing. no tickets issued yet.
