Local items report arrivals and deaths including Miss Alice Hanning coming after her aunt Mrs Gillooly and the funeral to be held at the Catholic church. The death of Mrs L J Hancock is noted along with other obituaries and social events in Reno and nearby towns.
Silver Party nominates S R Logan M W Smith and E Wylie for assemblymen. W H Stone is named for sheriff and justice of the peace. Eugene Mara runs for constable.
Voter platform endorses state party principles and Francie G. Newlands for U S Senator. It advocates labor rights, union organization, and opposition to injunctions limiting workers. It urges no rate cuts on state land purchases, reservoir storage for irrigation, good roads and public improvements, timber cutting controls, and economical county administration.
The Board of Capitol Commissioners invites sealed bids to furnish 30 cords of nut pine wood cut to 16 inch lengths. Deliver to the Capitol basement by October 15 1902. Bids due noon October 2 1962 with opening next day at 2 pm. The board may reject any bid. Carson City Nevada.
