The assessors office remains open daily for tax collection with directions for interested parties. A local retailer advertisement mentions Pike and Pine wood at Petersen & Springmeyers and a store named Euportum offering dress suitcases pajamas night robes underwear and hosiery.
A faded notice lists Dr Chas von Dadesky and other physicians with offices near the State Capitol, plus attorneys and officials in Carson City. Proposals are invited for sinking an eight inch pipe in Capitol Square, water provided free for engine work. bids due June 19. Cemetery water to begin May 1. arrears must be paid. Local ads advertise tents, spring goods, and a new line of shoes at Pioneer Clothing and Burlingtons Shoe Store.
An older mining guide outlines approximate locations and distances among towns in the Southern Nevada gold districts. It notes Goldfield 28 miles south of Tonopah and 16 miles south of Goldfield, Muddy Spring 27 miles south of Summerville, Old Bullfrog near the renamed Amargosa, and Bullfrog near Three Quarters. It mentions Ryolite near Beatrice and Gold Centre, and Las Vegas strikes about 110 miles southeast from Bullfrog via Clark railroad routes.
Notice invites bids to furnish the Nevada State Orphans Home in Carson City with carpet, furniture, and bedding. Bids require a 10 percent certified check and detail items with unit prices, including Brussels and Wilton velvet carpets, drapery, beds, sofas, chairs, tables, and window treatments. Submissions due by August 1905 at the State Printing Office. specifications list multiple room inventories and cost limits.
Notice is given that a special meeting of the stockholders of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad Company will be held at the company depot in Carson City Nevada on the 24th day of May 1905 at 11 oclock a.m. for the purpose of considering a sale and conveyance of the railroad and all property to a corporation organized under Nevada law and for other lawful business.
