The document outlines how subscribers must respond to continuation or discontinuation notices and how publishers may handle arrearages. It notes that nonresponsive subscribers are presumed to wish to continue, and that publishers can continue sending until debts are paid. Courts may allow removal of periodicals for nonpayment and fraud implications are discussed.
A 1908 act amends section one of an 1869 mining law. It requires a discovery shaft or crosscut at ten feet depth to prove a lode deposit, defines corner monuments for claims, and allows stone or wood posts with specified dimensions and markings. Posts must be sunk with a protective mound. if ground prevents proper placement, the nearest suitable point marks the claim. The act takes effect July 1, 1900.
