William Van Patten of Austin married Louise Bergman of Carson last Thursday evening in the residence of Mr and Mrs F P Van Patten with Rev Albone of the M E Church officiating. The bride, long a local teacher, is highly regarded and the groom is a popular Austin young man.
The Tonopah Miner reports demand for men is met with crowds of idle workers in Tonopah Nevada. Employers warn job seekers to avoid the town. Boston financier P P Francis plans to erect a memorial over Henry B Comstock’s grave at Bozeman Montana. Sacramento firm John Braner & Co plans to file incorporation papers in Nevada with a Reno branch. Postal stamps revenue up to June 50 reaches $200 above prior quarter. About 100 people arrive weekly, boosting postal business.
County Central Committee meets and orders a primary on July 26 from 1 to 1 at Curry engine house Carson City to elect eight Silver Party delegates to the Nevada State Convention in Reno. Sixteen to one ratio pledge required for voters and nominees to be chosen by Carson and Empire townships with one delegate appointed by the committee.
