Carson City hosted eastern magnates including J H Gard ner of Esmeralda Mines and Durkee of Esmeralda Consolidated Mines for a Saturday dinner. Philadelphia and Pittsburg financiers such as Croskey and Guffey attended with locals like Adams and Yerington. The event honored New York Pennsylvania and Nevada with floral trophies amid humor and praise of Nevada’s wealth and hospitality.
A plan describes special trains on the Virginia and Prrebee railroads to Reno with schedules for departures from Reno and returns. Two special cars will carry Carsonites home with departures in the late afternoon and early evening, arriving in Reno at 10 o clock a.m.
