Hartman proposes education fund for Seeley Indians in Seeley reservation
Representative Hartman of Montana pushes an amendment to the Indian appropriation bill for 190 million dollars to educate and civilize the Seeley savages of the Manhattan reservation. The amendment is ruled out on a point of order after the House acknowledges its point. A Washington dispatch notes that no intoxicants will be served at the inaugural ball per presidential wishes.
