An annual holiday sale item lists Santa Claus shopping nearly five hundred dollars worth of toys and wares at a Carson City store. The piece notes low prices and quick stock depletion as a cue to shoppers, highlighting department store promotions and a concluding boast of unbeatable value.
Notice warns hunting without a permit on Theodore Winters property will lead to prosecution. Permits costing 5 dollars for season or 50 cents for one day will be sold, while the North Rapidan mine at Como will add two hoists an air compressor two rock crushers ventilation fans and lights. Also notes assessors delivering the assessment roll for final year and County Board of Commissioners to meet for equalization at the County Clerk’s office starting Monday September 18 at 10 a.m. Obvious typographical errors remain but facts include permits for hunting and planned mine equipment and a county tax equalization session.
The Carson Nevada text lists assessment roll changes for 1905 by the Board of Equalization including increases to J G Court Macdonald Peters and others and several reductions for items such as furniture and real estate. Objections may be presented Friday Sept 29 at 9 am to keep or adjust the rolls.
Notice of amalgamation and consolidation effective November 1 1905 between Tonopah Railroad Company and Goldfield Railroad Company under the Tonopah and Goldfield Railroad Company name. Lists officers and principal office at Tonopah Nye County Nevada and notes management assumed by the new entity. Eagle Market advertisement appended offering fresh meats and eggs with emphasis on quality and service.
The State Board of Capitol Commissioners will receive bids by noon October 15 for a two story stone building on the capitol grounds in Carson City Nevada. Stone to be prepared at the State Prison two miles away with completion by December 31 1908. Plans at the Governor's office. The board may reject any bid. Envelopes marked Bit for Building.
