Ordinance Granting Suniet Telephone Franchise in Carson City
Carson City passes a fifty year franchise to the Suniet Telephone Company to install operate and maintain wires poles and other apparatus for telephone and telegraph service on city streets alleys and highways. The ordinance requires free city telephone access for official use and allows the city to require removal of poles on short notice with costs borne by the company. Authority includes indemnity for city, non exclusive rights, and standard street work conditions. Approved November 16 1900 by Mayor and Clerk.
