Festival Adds Square Dancing To Town Event
The annual festival introduces square dancing as a new pastime this year. Expect many participants Thursday evening to dance in the street between the bank and the corner cafe as the community enjoys the familiar kittens tale and local misadventures. A note of thanks follows for Union classified ads driving successful kitten reunions and water improvements, with a light quip about advertising for a well.
Udell Helping Neighbors Club Meeting Seeks Picnic
The Udell Helping Neighbors Club met September 8 at Mrs. Ilah Morris home for a cooperative dinner and business session. A report on Yellowstone Park earthquakes by Mrs. Frank Stajcar highlighted the meeting. A community picnic honors Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilkinson moving to California is planned for September 16 at the Udell roadside park at 6:30 PM. Guests included Mrs. Hilda Felton, Mrs. Edna Moore, Mrs. Grace Spurpeon, Mrs. Anna Burkland, Gordon Burkland, and Randy Kesterson. The October meeting will be at Mrs. Ollie Houser’s home with the roll call “What I like about farm life.”
