Mr. and Mrs. B B Tarr of Boneatest celebrated their fiftieth anniversary on Saturday August 26 with sixty guests at the Baptist church basement. E B Tarr and wife Janie Hever, both raised near I, recall migration to Nebraska and settlement, later homesteading in Bonateel. They own their claim forty five years, live in a modern Bonateel home, and their family maintains regular visits. Mr Tarr served on the County Commissioners for over ten years. relatives include Tarr siblings in Minnesota and Oregon.

W G Firkins receives a letter from his son E G Firkins of the U S Submarine 29 stating the crew is at Portsmouth New Hampshire and aided in the raise attempt of the Squalus.
