Good Agriculture Better Community By M H Elson

Protein will be lacking in many livestock rations this fall as high protein concentrates stay scarce and costly. Soybeans offer high protein for dairy cows and do not taint milk flavor. A suggested mix is four parts corn and cob meal four parts ground oats and one part cracked soybeans, increasing soybeans if non legume hay is used. Trade soybeans pound for pound with protein feed to avoid losses. A vocational class may attend the American Royal in Kansas City to learn from the show, which promises to be one of the finest ever held.
