Reported Saturday night the fifth death tied to Raw Ramblin s New Hwy 5 since its opening. Victim identified as Wm. Fellon of Albia killed at the intersection of old and new highways four miles north of Moravia. Multiple accidents cited where drivers miss the T intersection north and south of Moravia amid ongoing traffic confusion.

An Auxiliary board meeting was held in Centerville on Friday morning. Mrs. Jake Firkins spent Wednesday with her brother Eugene Argo. Vera and Eugene visited Clarence Whitehead in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. James McCord and family from Monmouth Illinois stayed Saturday night and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Edward McCord. Afternoon visitors included Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Turner and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Turner with family. Mrs. Fern Callen of Albia visited part of last week with the McCords.
Attendance at Sunday School reached 32. Pat MecClaratian spent Tuesday at Merrill Shepard home. Afternoon callers included Georganna Baldwin and Sharon Shepard. Maxine Tharp visited Opal Lem and Mrs Huff attended weddings and family visits near Bloomfield and St Joseph hospital. Eric Lynn, son of Dale Hoffman, and visits by Lemleys and OConners marked a busy weekend with multiple family gatherings.
Sunday guests included Mr and Mrs Paul Fuller of Promise City and others from Centerville West Reed and Belnap. The Huffs celebrated Kenneth Rinehart s 25th wedding anniversary with a call and visit to his mother. Mike Guinri of Oskaloosa spent the weekend with Defnant and the text notes remnants of social updates.
