A E Derby of Lovilla worked at Lisyd Ammons’s home the past week. Susan Turner stayed with relatives in Dex Moines. Coy Swift and Cloyce Mountain visited Ottumwa and Rock Island friends. Mary Lackender visited Freda Swift. Lloyd Ammons stopped by Centreville. Mrs Earl Swift and Mrs Clair Long spent Thursday in Ottumwa with Paul Carruthers and Leo Beatty.
Mrs Vina Taylor and Enon school pupils led a Friday program with fair attendance. Families and neighbors, including Lockmans, Proctors, Ward, Cox, Helmick, Nelson, and others, spent weekends visiting homes. Pancake day in Centerville drew many locals. Joyous and somber moments marked by visits and sympathy to the Hellyer family.
Committee for the U. 3B class party met Monday night. Mr and Mrs Buell Taylor Jean and Jay visited Albert Vichroy at Center Point Saturday. Rain prevailed last week and rivers rose. Otha Taylor did the chores. The Ward family spent Sunday evening with Norman Ward. A program and box supper occurred at Fairview on Wednesday evening.
