Jokes and quips from a bustling street corner
A collection of brief comic vignettes and misheard lines. A blind man misreads a two dollar bill as bad luck while a deaf mate explains day off. A mother probes a progressive school’s first question about gender. An Atlantic distress joke and a fatherly exchange with a boss end with a bit of legal and social irony.
Local Happenings in Moravia and Nearby Areas
A long, bustling list of visits, travels, and gatherings across Moravia and nearby towns. Family, friends, and relatives from Des Moines to Centerville, Ottumwa, and Kansas City are noted visiting, hosting, and attending events while occasional travel to California, Illinois, and Missouri is mentioned. Several health updates, a funeral, and a deer hunting trip in Colorado appear among the social notices.
