Funeral services were held for Delmer LaZell Hiatt 87 at Miller Wehrle Funeral Home. Hiatt a retired farmer and rural mail carrier from Unionville Iowa died Friday at Golden Age nursing home Centerville. He was born October 15 1879 near Hiattsville and married Fiona Chambers in 1914. Survivors include daughter Catherine Hawk three grandchildren two sisters Nora Gladfelder and Bertha Proctor. Burial was in Eaton cemetery west of Unionville.

Moravia Town Buys Main Building At Auction
Moravia town purchased the southwest corner building at the square from the Gus Main estate for 1350 dollars to use as garage and storage for street and water equipment and supplies. The town took immediate possession. The building was formerly used by Moravia Produce and later by the government welding school. Mrs Archie Main of Alhia bought cemetery lots from the Gus Main estate that sold at auction Friday.
