Garden Club Ladies Fall Flower Show at Grace Methodist
The Moravia Garden Club held a fall flower show at Grace Methodist church parlors on Tuesday with 155 entries. Mrs. Ira Boyer chaired. Mrs. F. W. Pickworth judged. Nellie Williams won multiple awards in horticulture and design. Harley Tisue swept horticulture and artistic design divisions. The event featured greetings by Miss Eleanor Miller, a tea, and guests from nearby towns. prizes were announced across many divisions.

Clyde Wilson Named Adjutant General of Arizona National Guard
Clyde Wilson of Buckeye Arizona has been appointed adjutant general of the Arizona National Guard by Governor McFarland. The change creates a vacancy as Wilson also chairs the Arizona Power Authority. A former Mora vian and brother of Frank Wilson of Moravia, he built a Buckeye law practice 29 years ago after Drake University. He joined the guard in 1930, served as company commander, and rose to inspector general. His World War II service included Luke Field, Roswell, Biggs Field, and command roles with the 18th Bombardment Group, earning the Bronze Star.

F F A Boys Win At Dairy Cattle Show

4 H Girls Demonstrate at Waterloo Congress
Sharon Argo and Nancy Boblenz presented From Blonde to Brunette at the Dairy Cattle Congress in Waterloo on Saturday September 27 to a large audience. They were accompanied by mothers Mrs Guy Argo and Mrs Herb Boblenz and by Mr and Mrs Clyde Eddy. The girls earned favorable remarks from judge and audience and will learn their ratings next Saturday at 2:00 p.m. after all demonstrations finish. The families stayed overnight in Waterloo to view more of the congress, while dads visited on Sunday morning and praised the show.

Man's Adult Classes Begin Next Week at School House
Moravia area adults are invited to weekly classes starting Thursday Oct 9 with arc welding as the first topic. Six Rural School Buildings Sold in Moravia District
Six rural school buildings and contents were sold at public auction this week in the Moravia Community school district. Brompton went for 400 dollars to Ed Robinson, Omega 530 to Rex Angel, Miller 340 to Claude Paris, Fuller 90 to Wayne Clark, West Point 132 to Rex Hagerman, California 300 to Geralt Hawk. School bells drew interest as Roy Downing bought all but one. Alec Main kept his home bell. Sale included contents, toilets and coal houses. showers and Maple Grove remain unused, possibly for future school or community use.
