Landon Greets Moravia Crowd On Special Train
Presidential candidate Landon greeted about 300 people as his eleven car train passed Moravia at five o clock Monday afternoon en route to Topeka after tours in Iowa Minnesota and Wisconsin. Gov Landon appeared on the rear car platform waving and boys near the school building waved sunflowers. Local officials on the train included H K Smith J M Beck H C Haynes and Mrs Maude Hickman A A Robinson and Mrs Cyrus Prothera. Landon thanked Moravia for its reception and sunflower buttons were tossed to the crowd.

Death takes Mrs Patrick at Moravia on Tuesday
Mrs. Jeff Patrick died at her home northwest of Moravia Tuesday evening after a two week illness. She was 69, born in Monroe county, lived in the area most of her life except three years in Colorado. She and her husband Jett Patrick recently celebrated their wedding anniversary.
