Good Progress in Corn Husking This Season
Corn husking shows notable advance for the season, especially in the northwest Iowa counties where about one fourth of the corn has been husked and several farms are completed. Some regions report nearly half of farms with husking machines boosting efficiency. Corn stands well and machines aid work. southern Iowa sees only a beginning due to late corn. Weather and Crop Bureau notes drying progress but October 11 moisture is about 6 percent higher than last year. A flock of hens and a few cows is cited as real farm relief.
