Moravia Basketeers Triumph Over Lovilla and Numa

Moravia girls and boys both beat Lovilla on the local floor. Girls won 46 to 36, matching last year’s finish, while the Moravia boys dominated 49 to 28. Standouts included Joyce Martin with 16, plus Dean Easter with 24 points and aggressive defense efforts from Vance, McDanel, and Jordan. Numa visits Moravia next, with Mitzi Sawvel scoring 18 for Numa girls and 14 for Joyce att. Moravia’s depth showed as Carole Broshar and Fern Kelley provided strong relief. The Numa trip featured a 45 to 24 girls win and a close boys game, as both squads showed effort despite limited numbers. The Moravia lineup also benefited from solid rebounding and fast breaks.
