Voters oppose Haynes Worth nomination arguing they have support for their stance. Local interest grows to upgrade the Unionville Moravia road due to overdue work and traffic counts. Residents in the west county seek state and possible federal funds to share road development costs around lakes and parks.
Mrs. Earl Swift notes weekly items in Franklin including visits to the Leo Beaty and Roscoe Argo homes. Earl Swift and family hosted Sunday dinner with Ned Argo. In Albia, Mr and Mrs Earl Swift attended St. Marys church election day dinner Tuesday. A shower for Shirley Calhoun and Mike Moon occurred at Iconium church.
In Appanoose County Iowa probate court Luther H Caster Sr named executor after will admitted July 1964. Creditors must file claims within six months from second publication or be barred. actions to set aside must be filed within one year. Notices dated November 4 1969 with attorneys Valentine Greenleaf Centerville Iowa.
Mrs Nadine Dommer hosts Callie Huber after Sunday. Mrs David Johnson from Moulton visited with Mrs Joe Hayes. Dinner guests at Buell Taylors included Zula Taylor and Elsie DeLong. Local visits continued with Mrs Laurence Dommer and Philip Kilampe. Families from Ottumwa joined gatherings at Paul O Dell home and Buell Taylors. A Tupperware party at Rose Faber’s attracted several ladies while Buell Taylor and sons joined a pheasant hunt.
Saturday activities include guests at various homes such as Patty Hiatt at the Laurence Dommer residence and the McDanes hosting Melvin McDanes. The Coltrains hosted Susan and Sherri with Richard Coltrain calling Sunday evening. Community events feature a Tupperware gathering and World Community Day at Salem United Methodist Church with Dallas Faber in attendance. Several families shared meals and visits, including hunting trips with Francis Purvis, and gatherings at Alfalfa banquet venues and Drakesville area homes.

Mrs Gladys Townsend and Junior Townsend shared Tuesday evening supper at the Bob Mitchell home with Sopa Russell Shepard. Mrs Johnnie Scott spent Sunday evening at the Ora Rinehart home. Edith Beaty helped at the Howard Phillips home. Joyce welcomed a new baby Sunday. Mr and Mrs Delmont Moffitt and Mr and Mrs George Lain were Sunday supper guests at the Jim Walker home. Mr and Mrs Tom Lindoff of Burlington and Mr and Mrs Arthur Burton were dinner and supper guests of Russell Shepards Sunday.
