Pheasant Season Opens Saturday in Iowa
November 14 marks the 34th pheasant season in Iowa with 92 counties open and most areas hosting a 23 day hunt. The state sees a shift from northeast declines to southern gains, and last year’s harvest of about 1.5 million birds may be matched if weather allows farmers to harvest corn and hunters to reach the birds. Be a guest not a pest while prepping your scattergun for a bountiful ringneck season.
