Alums and visitors attended local alumnae banquet. Bayard Cridlebaugh traveled from near Denver to attend and won a prize for longest distance. The Morlans purchased the Henshaw farm south of Udell. Stuckey family and Joe Moore hosted and visited with various relatives during the weekend.

Doyle Anderson, Appanoose county ASC chair, notes May 31 ends loan and purchase agreement periods for 1956 corn and soybean programs. In Appanoose 296,731 bushels of corn and 128,436 soybeans have fallen under support. state totals exceed 99 million corn and 19 million soybeans with all unredeemed soybeans due by June 1.
