Ambulance funding debate roils Appanoose County
Centerville hospitals route most patients to Albia while Moulton faces pressure from St Joseph Hospital to fund a county wide ambulance system with 25 500 in county funds and 18 384 annual operating cost. Private services may raise trip fees to align with a proposed Centerville run system. A Centerville city bill could tax property for ambulance support and require a nurse on board.
